ERC holds a TOT for "Health and Safety" program

Egyptian Red Crescent concluded yesterday a tot for "Health and Safety" training program for school students, which was held for 25 volunteers at its headquarters in Nasr City. The course, which took place from 20 to 23 March, included training for volunteers on effective communication and presentation skills, ways of dealing with children, and the definition of volunteers in how to explain the components of the program through the interactive learning method with students.
The three-day course included the introduction of the program, the detailed presentation of the methods of explaining and presenting the components that the students are trained in, first aid, traffic safety, healthy habits, climatic changes, emergency response from earthquakes or fires, In addition to the newly added component, "disagree without violence".
The course also dealt with different behavioral patterns, training on the different presentation methods and clarifications for students, from "slides", games, drawing, and recreational activities, providing information and developing a spirit of cooperation and teamwork among students, as well as explanatory manuals for annotated topics.
This is part of the initiative of the Egyptian Red Crescent, in cooperation with the British Council, to reduce violence by building youth capacities and raising community awareness. The Egyptian Red Crescent also launched a campaign entitled "Resolving Violence Dialogue" to promote a culture of peace and non-violence.
